This Girl

Summary:

There are two sides to every love story. Now hear Will’s.

Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling Slammed series has brought countless readers to their knees with a whirlwind of love, passion, and heartache.

Layken and Will’s love has managed to withstand the toughest of circumstances and the young lovers, now married, are beginning to feel safe and secure in their union. As much as Layken relishes their new life together, she finds herself wanting to know everything there is to know about her husband, even though Will makes it clear he prefers to keep the painful memories of the past where they belong. Still, he can’t resist his wife’s pleas and so he begins to untangle his side of the story, revealing for the first time his most intimate feelings and thoughts, retelling both the good and bad moments, and sharing a few shocking confessions of his own from the time when they first met.

In This Girl, Will tells the story of their complicated relationship from hispoint of view. Their future rests on how well they deal with the past in this final installment of the beloved Slammed series.

My Review:

This is going to be a short and sweet review because for one, I don't want to give too much away to those of you who haven't read Slammed and Point of Retreat yet, and secondly, I honestly have no words for how much  I LOVE this book. Without a doubt, This Girl is the best guy's POV book that I have read... like ever! Colleen Hoover's writing is absolutely beautiful.  She did so much more than simply tell Slammed from Will's POV. She wrote his perspective in a new, fresh, and completely captivating way that had me hanging on every word, grinning from ear to ear, and falling even deeper in love with this amazing story.

I have recently felt a little disappointed in a couple of other male POV books that have come out because they were basically the same story told in a different way.... but Hoover did nothing of the sort. Will's version gives us an even deeper insight into his character and the emotions he was feeling not only in Slammed, but also during the tragic events that occurred in his life leading up to his meeting Lake. Hoover also gives us a look into their life since Point of Retreat. I could go on and on, but I will just sum it up by saying everything and I mean everything about this story is absolutely adorable and heartwarming.
I butterflying LOVE Will Cooper and Colleen Hoover so hard and you will too!

Happy Reading, Y'all! :-)
